On January 22, 2021, Bicep released their second album on Ninja Tune, amidst the third UK lockdown. Due to the restrictions in place, Ninja Tune & Bicep wanted to bring the album and their visuals to life on the streets of Belfast & London across iconic arts & music venues, and simulate a live broadcast from each location.
UP Productions was appointed to animate the album live across the MAC (Metropolitan Arts Centre, Belfast) and broadcast this live via social media. The same was launched simultaneously across the Tate Modern and the Barbican in London. The result was a stunning outdoor motion projection, accompanied by live social media engagement across multiple channels, and the sonic accompaniment of their newly released album.
The project brought life to the barren dark streets, excitement to their hungry fans, whilst debuting their new album artwork and visual campaign. A beautiful project to work on.
