Red Bull x Max Cooper
Red Bull Music commissioned us to deliver a unique and ambitious project during global lockdown: a 360-degree live streamed performance of Max Cooper’s audio-visual album, filmed inside the historic Carlisle Memorial Church in Belfast. This special event also featured a panel talk, produced in partnership with AVA Festival and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
We managed every aspect of the production, from securing the venue and talent to overseeing the technical design and delivery. With strict COVID restrictions in place, the project required careful planning and innovative thinking. Carlisle Church, a 145-year-old neo-gothic landmark, had never before hosted an electronic performance. The space was transformed through large-scale architectural projections, strobes and a semi-transparent screen, allowing Max Cooper to alternate between immersive visuals and layered textures that brought the venue to life.
The live broadcast was delivered via YouTube and supported by a coordinated social media campaign across Red Bull and artist platforms. The response was immediate and wide-reaching, with over 123,000 live views and more than 170 interactive chats taking place during the stream. Alongside the live performance, we handled all budget and resource management, including infrastructure to support future hybrid models.
Following the event, we delivered a package of post-event content and detailed reporting, capturing the creative and logistical achievement of producing a broadcast of this scale under lockdown. The performance marked a meaningful homecoming for Max Cooper and served as a testament to what’s possible when creativity meets technical expertise—even in the most challenging circumstances.
